By Robert Boyd
Seen on the street today.
This is a man wrapped in tape like a mummy, covered with glitter. When I walked up, someone was helping him drink water. One of his arms was free. A big crowd was watching.
Including Jerry Saltz. The New York critic and judge on Work of Art was in the crowd, snapping photos like everyone else.
And the people there were eager to explain to Saltz what was going on, their backs turned to the wriggling mummy on the concrete behind them. It turns out that this was Hunter Reynolds, and this performance was being down in conjunction with his exhibit at PPOW. Amazing what you can stumble across walking around in New York.
